The Medicinal Power of Fermented Garlic and Honey.

As cold and flu season is approaching, I am stocking mine and my family's pantries with this natural, centuries-old power elixir. Honey and garlic have been used in traditional medicine as far back as the civilizations of the Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians. And for great reason, this powerful combo has been clinically tested and has shown to have many benefits. Here are some:
Increase Immune System
Decrease the incidence of cold and flu.
Decrease duration and severity of sickness.
Decrease blood pressure.
Improve cholesterol levels.
Decrease oxidative stress.
Aid the digestion process.
Heal skin infections/wounds.
Aid in healing arthritis.
Increase exercise capacity.
Reduce heavy metal toxicity.
Garlic is a plant that contains organosulfur compounds, along with vitamins, minerals, Vitamin C, Vitamin b6, selenium and magnesium.
Raw honey is an ancient food/medicine that acts as a natural preservative and has antiviral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Honey is high in antioxidants and can fight free radicals, and inflammation and balance the immune system.
Most can consume honey unless you have a known allergy to either garlic, honey and are currently on blood thinners, HIV medications, have severe diabetes, and/or have a baby under 1 year of age.
Fermented Honey Garlic Recipe
Here is what you need:
1.) 1cup of Fresh garlic cloves
2.) Raw honey (enough to fill jar 2/3 full)
3.) Ball canning jar (or the like)
Peel your garlic cloves and add to the jar. Fill the jar with raw honey till 2/3 full leaving room at the top to expand for the fermentation process. The consistency of honey will be thick, as the fermentation process goes on the honey will become more like a liquid elixir. Flip the jar to allow all garlic cloves to become coated and soaked by honey, then flip again and store in a dry, cool place like a pantry shelf. Every 2-3 days for one month you will burp the jar (open lid and hear a burp, reclose the jar) do this process for one month. After one month, your elixir is ready to consume. I tsp. a day to aid in the prevention of illness is a great place to start. If feeling under the weather a tsp and a clove is highly effective in decreasing severity and duration. When ill, you can consume 3x's a day/with a clove at each serving to aid the healing process.
Personal testimony: recently traveled and was gone four days to a congested, metropolis community. I was feeling very run down when I got home and immediately took a dose and a clove and by the next day, my energy had returned and the scratchiness in my throat had disappeared.
Client testimony: She was experiencing a lot of congestion, scratchy throat, and sinus building. I remember her reaction as it almost shocked me. She said she "immediately Noticed" a spike in her energy, and the congestion was beginning to loosen. By the second day, she was amazed that she wasn't worse nor was she in need of calling her doctor's office for a steroid shot (for this is this person's history). By day four of 3's/day with a clove, she was feeling great, and congestion was dissipating. She did not miss a day of work or any other of her weekly duties. She is amazed and a believer in the power of these ingredients. One other thing that I encourage when sick is to claim healing over oneself as mentioned in scripture, Proverbs 18:21. There is power in what we speak over ourselves, and clinical studies show the power of our tongues positively and negatively. This elixir also relieved my husband of a sore throat in one dose!

Barbara, I really appreciate you sharing this is an amazing treatment. I moved to Odessa a little over six years ago. Every year since I moved here, I get sick 1-2 times a year with congestion, and I have to go to the doctor. The doctor prescribes steroids. These steroids are hard om my body and make me very hungry.
